How to make a tent and how to make a shelter?: Arranging an American tent can be a difficult task for a new camper. Some of the small tips we offer will greatly simplify the task and help him establish a solid shelter that will protect him from the elements.
How to make a tent and how to make a shelter?
Pitch tent
- Fighting for a tent on a wet and windy campsite is the best way to ruin the start of your vacation. Follow these few basic rules and most of all, always set up your new tent when you first go on vacation.
- Install additional groundsheet to prevent damage to the tent groundsheet with rocks.
- Open the tent and place it on the mat. First, install the interior.
- Secure the poles together and keep them within easy reach.
- Thread the poles through the top zipper of the inner tent, through the middle zipper.
- Start with a flysheet (or exterior) to fit some models by threading in the guide.
- Once the poles slide into their slides, bend the poles and lift the assembly so that the tent can be shaped.
- Some tents have adjustable straps to secure the pillars. In a single domed tent, two poles intersect at the top.
- Mount the roof canvas to the top of the tent. Place the stacks at the tent point at an angle of about 45 to securely anchor into the ground. Tighten the tensioners again.
Build a Survival Shelter
If you get stuck outside at night, you need to find a way to stay warm and dry. Don’t wait for the sun to set to find a place to settle. This will prevent you from sleeping in rocks or wasp nests. If you have a tarp or groundsheet and rope, you have everything you need to build a shelter.
Tie a rope between two trees and put heat on it.
- Press the lower edges of the tarp into the ground to make a tent. Most trips have eyelets designed for this purpose.
- If you don’t have a tripod, collect A-shaped branches.
- Find a dry space, with one branch two to three meters long and the other two small branches 1.5 meters or more.
- Make an A by burying two small branches in the ground and tying their tops together.
- Then, bury the long end of the top pole of your shelter in the ground, and tie the other end to the top of your A.
- Make sure it is aligned so that the bottom end can withstand the prevailing winds.
- Build more branches on the top pole, and weave twigs between them. Fill the holes with evergreen or fern branches, and cover the ground inside the shelter with fern or evergreen branches to create an insulation cushion.
